Cattlewash beach is several miles long making it the longest Barbados beach.This is a fabulous place to have a long beach combing walk as the rugged beauty is spectacular. It’s perhaps not such a good place to swim unlike the calm West coast as the tidal undertow currents are extremely strong and could be dangerous.If in doubt it’s a good idea to visit the local lifeguard station to find out for sure.However there are also natural pools with rock barriers here too as in Bathsheba which make for safe bathing. Cattlewash beach was given it’s name from back in the day when cattle were herded down from the hills.
